Why?...

Ugliest pants I've ever seen. And guy... there are 6 open computers ready for your use! You must have had a good reason to set up your laptop on the garbage though.

PEEPhole

Looking through the peephole of my appartment... I'm thinking a series of these might be interesting... worth considering at least

Midterm Studio Crit

Even though someone stole the wall I had originally reserved, I was able to succesfully hang my pages of shapes. I'm very happy with the results... Thanks to Dev for all the help putting it up :) 8ft high, almost 13ft long!

Photoshoot @ the pool

Today I went along with AJ to her pool photoshoot... it was fun! We took photos from the creepy downstairs viewing area. I wonder where the door goes?...

Ghost

Playing with camera settings... Devlin looks ghostly...

Stack

145 pages of shapes for my Studio class - enough to cover the small display wall in the studio. I'm aiming to have enough to cover the bigger walls - 252 pages - by the end of the semester.

Ladies Sasquatch

Ladies Sasquatch by Alyson Mitchell (sp?) is the exhibition in the UofL gallery right now. I remember watching her ArtNow lecture in my first year and I'm sooo excited that the show came to our school!

Project due Tuesday

I've just finised my photo project that is due Tuesday. It is a non narcisistic self portrait - you are in the work but you're using your body to carry it. I took this image and liked it but it wasn't used for the final piece.

More fish :)

I had to post a few more pictures from the fish section at Homes Alive. It's so nice to finally get an impressive petstore in Lethbridge... it's too bad that I had to wait until my last year for it though! They had a huge selection from tropical fish, freshwater fish, hermit crabs, and even star fish!

Homes Alive petstore... Best in Lethbridge!!

Biggest lizzard I have ever seen! Around 2 feet right now... and it's just a baby!

Nice African Grey

I was VERY impressed by the fish section... the tanks are like plasma TVs they're so clean! They have a really impressive fish selection too.

Awesome turtle... he's still a baby so his shell was a little bit soft. The guy let me hold him and feed him out of my hand :) A really fun experience! I just had to keep my fingers out of the way... CHOMP!

October 1

I've been spending a lot of time in my studio lately, working on a painting that is constantly changing (left). I complete the painting everyday and the next time I work on it I paint over it to create something new... it's really neat to see how it changes, and I photograph it so I can look back and see the progress at the end of the semester. While in photo class I witnessed a fly getting its morning coffee BUZZZZZZ... wanna sip? (ew)

Walks Assignment

This is the final product of the walking assignment for Photo3. The first was an observation walk, during which I went down into the coulees and followed a path to the river and back, taking pictures of whatever caught my eye. The second was an intervention walk, for which I took a roll of quarters downtown and followed the streets with parking meters, putting a quarter into each of them until I ran out.

Monday!

Monday I woke up feelin pretty good, so I went downtown and took some pictures. These are in Galt Gardens... I'm finding that all of these walks are really helping to inspire me in my studio - be it the photos or the found souvenirs.

Non Interventionist Walk

Charlie and I decided to go on a non-interventionist walk down in the coulees on Thursday. We eventually made it to the river, where I found lots of neat rocks like this one with a heart on it! I took some rock pictures to inspire me while working in my studio... the colors are so bright! An hour and a half is a long trek for a little pup, but he seemed to enjoy himself and took a long nap afterwards.

Walk with Charlie

I took Charlie out for a long walk on Friday, and it was a perfect day! The sun was out and the leaves on the trees were just starting to turn their fall colors... Charlie even took a little swim in the lake! He didn't mind taking a few minutes to sniff around while I took some pictures :) I just noticed that there is some glare on the last pic, but I really like the composition.

AJ is hard at work while I spend lunch time in the cubicle

Master Charles Imeson II

My 3 month old Yorkie, Charlie! He's not in my studio... but he's super cute and takes up a lot of my time when I'm not at school! I'm still trying to figure out how to resize the image so it doesn't expand larger than the screen when you click on it... can't seem to figure out how...

Sitting in class waiting for everyone to set up their blogs :)
